Court Enforcement Services launch new video to explain how to obtain a County Court Judgment (CCJ)
New animated video will help explain the process clearly for individuals/small businesses who are owed money and may be unfamiliar with applying for County Court Judgments (CCJs) and Enforcement.
Usually individual, freelancers and small businesses are put off trying to obtain a County Court Judgment (CCJ) using the money claim online service. The process is not as costly as they think it is and help is always at hand. Our Company, Court Enforcement Services will gladly provide advice on the best steps to take to ensure they have the best chance of recovering their debts.
Court Enforcement Services has produced this animated video explaining to individuals, freelancers and small companies on how to obtain a CCJ.

If you already have a CCJ which is over £600 then it can be transferred up to the High Court. For debts the £600 qualification can include ‘statutory interest’ owed*, late payment of interest and compensation and the court fees. See our video on transferring up.
*Statutory Interest
The interest you can charge if another business is late paying for goods or a service is ‘statutory interest’ – this is 8% plus the Bank of England base rate for business to business transactions.
High Court Enforcement Officers are responsible for the enforcement of the Writs of Execution issued out of the High Court, the most popular of which being the “Writ of Control” formerly known as “Writ of Fieri Facias” or “Writ of Fi Fa”. This is a writ issued for the recovery of money owed and provides for the seizure and sale of the judgment debtor’s goods.
