Review of the 2014 Enforcement Agent reform
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has issued a call for evidence by holding a consultation.
You can take part here.
The consultation will run from 25th November 2018 to 17th February 2019.
The call for evidence is looking at the following topics:
- treatment of debtors;
- complaints and process;
- training and certification of enforcement agents;
- transparency and consistency of process;
- fees charged;
- Commercial Rent Arrears Recovery; and
- whether further regulation is needed.
In addition the MoJ are collecting evidence from the Civil Enforcement Association (CIVEA) and the High Court Enforcement Officers Association about debt recovery rates, which will inform the review.
